So yeah, that's Moral Agency Issues thrown right out the window. Hell, it seems to me that he didn't even care that he just removed his pawns from his body.
If anything, later verses sung by Kirby(?) pretty much show that Void Termina is just delusional/careless, saying that he's just not seeing the kindness, and given his behaviour, I don't think he cares. Hell, the verse of "Now you face the void with your friends" and "For darkness will extinguish everything you want and desire" pretty much imply, if not outright confirm that Void doesn't care. The first (and possibly only) verses that Void Termina sings at the beginning are shown that Void Termina clearly knows the destruction it brings, stating that the world will come to an end in a frightening deep tone. Whilst his origins state that he was made of evil, nothing implies this in the musical at all (if anything, it feels completely absent throughout). Finally, the song ends with Kirby successfully defeating Void Termina's Soul, killing him for good.
Halfway through the finale, the lyrics state that the Void isn't seeing Kirby's rightdoings, implying that Void (at least in this case) knows full well about the destruction it brings, but simply decides to destroy all in its wake because it can. Void Termina's Soul is then finally revealed, and the final battle begins, with Kirby(?) stating that the end has finally come. Finally, Kirby enters Void Termina's body, ready to fight what really lies inside. The lyrics (seemingly by Kirby himself) then states that Void has taken wing, wasting everything in sight.Įxiting, Void Termina launches both Kirby, Hyness and the Three Mage-Sisters out of its body, and more battles begin between the two, with Void Termina launching powerful blasts right at Kirby, with our beloved pink puffball dodging them once again. Void has appeared to stop singing, at least for now. I presume it was singing it too given how its voice could be heard in the chants.įinally, Kirby enters Void's core, which shows the heart beating powerfully and Hyness + the Three Mage-Sisters hanging upside down, trapped in their own little conundrum that they started. Its followers(?) then begins to sing the chorus. During the fight, Void Termina launches several powerful attacks at Kirby, to which our pink puffball successfully dodges with ease. In the song, Void Termina first says that Kirby's world shall come to an end and that his (Kirby's) friends shall now face the void together. It could just be the universe, but I could just be wrong. To which, Void Termina had already started to cause chaos, turning its battlefield into nothing but a destroyed wasteland.
In the musical video, it had finally been set free after Hyness' plan had successfully worked, sacrificing himself and the Three Mage-Sisters to fill the missing Jamba Heart fragments, finally completing the ritual. Apparently according to the pause screen messages too (canonically at least), Void Termina had been reincarnated throughout the aeons it laid resting.
Void Termina is also a shapeshifer, able to change forms as we can undoubtedly see in the game and the musical itself. It is also a deity worshipped by the Jambastion Cult that seeks to destroy all worlds as we know it. Much like its original counterpart, Void Termina was a force of destruction, spreading chaos across the universe right before being halted by four warriors.
Void Termina is the main antagonist of Kirby: Star Allies, The Planet-Conquering Traveler, and one of the two overarching antagonists of the series as a whole. Much like the original Kirby: Star Allies, it follows Kirby and his friends ready to save the world with kindness. The song was made by Juno Songs on the 27th of April, known for his other music videos (whether it'd be Nintendo, Friday Night Funkin, etc.). The Planet-Conquering Traveler song is a lyrical adaptation of the 2019 theme of the same name, specifically Void Termina's theme.
